Options for Rat Removal:
Option 1: First, do the rat removal yourself. Fix all leaks and do not leave any standing water. Only leave water in pet water bowls over night. Do not leave human food out. Continue trapping while sealing your house. After your home is completely sealed, start a bait monitoring program outside the house.
Option 2: Second, Hire a professional to do the rat removal or a rodent clean-out. This costs a lot of money if done properly. Follow this by sealing your home. Do this by ensuring no gap greater than 1/4″ exists, including garage doors. Keep trapping inside to make sure none are entering. Finally, monitor using rodent bait outside in protected bait boxes. Make sure to complete the Rodent Treatment Checklist.
